Yes, it is a cute and attention getting bookend/holder, but I'm not sure it is suitable for any books, especially the ones you really love and want to keep in good shape (paperback or not). Books kept at this angle will start to distort and the spines will begin to break. How a book feels is important to us and when it is distorted we may not like the feel of it anymore and hence not pick it up as much.....just saying...
